Job Description:
Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. In this role, you will develop and implement technical solutions that address complex customer requirements while applying modern software development practices and established methodologies.
Working independently and collaboratively with technical teams and customer stakeholders, you will support the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of integrated software solutions. You'll contribute to Oracle IT capabilities, complex extensions and configurations, and integrations with third-party products and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) capabilities while supporting solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
As a Senior Java Software Developer, you'll have the opportunity to apply extensive software development experience to moderately complex customer engagements while contributing to secure, high-quality technical solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test, and deploy software solutions and complex configurations supporting customer requirements.
- Develop technical solutions using Java and JavaScript while applying modern software development and testing practices.
- Support the detailed design and implementation of Oracle IT capabilities.
- Support integrations with third-party products and GOTS capabilities.
- Develop and implement extensions and configurations addressing unique customer business processes and workflows.
- Apply established methodologies, procedures, and leading practices throughout solution implementation.
- Perform complex technical duties requiring independent judgment to implement products and technologies that meet customer needs.
- Establish and apply best practices to support successful implementation of solution designs.
- Collaborate with project teams through technical communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution.
- Participate in project planning and project status communications.
- Identify technical risks and contribute to appropriate risk mitigation activities.
- Apply functional and technical expertise to on-premises, cloud, and hybrid solutions.
- Collaborate with customer management, team members, and clients throughout technical engagements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
- United States citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Eight (8) years of equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience with Java and JavaScript.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience with modern software development practices and software testing.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with team members and clients.
- Ability to operate independently and exercise judgment while supporting complex technical implementations.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community environments as a contractor.
- Familiarity with and ability to build encryption libraries and Key Management Services.
- Experience with encryption and an understanding of key management.
- Five (5) or more years of experience with REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with Spring.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to follow through on assigned initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment and collaborate with virtual teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and take ownership of assigned project or initiative components.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
