Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, resilient microservices and event-driven applications. This role involves leveraging cloud-native technologies, automation, and emerging AI/ML integrations to build enterprise-level solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performing, secure systems that align with organizational standards and support strategic growth initiatives.
Software Requirements
Required:
Extensive experience in Java (version 8+) with expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture (7+ years)
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (Node.js), and front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js (highly regarded)
Hands-on experience designing and developing microservices and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CDK)
Practical experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
Experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
Knowledge of security best practices, including secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager) and certificate lifecycle management
Preferred:
Experience integrating AI/ML models, especially with LLMS or ChatGPT, for building intelligent support tools
Exposure to model management, prompt engineering, or ChatGPT plugin development (e.g., Model Context Protocol)
Familiarity with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or Cassandra

Architect, develop, and maintain microservices-based solutions supporting critical enterprise functions
Build resilient, scalable, and high-performance APIs, event streams, and serverless components aligned with business needs
Implement observability and monitoring strategies for system stability, latency reduction, and reliability improvements
Design and optimize deployment strategies supporting automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Address technical debt with pragmatic, business-aligned solutions
Collaborate with product teams, solution architects, and security teams to ensure compliance and security standards
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents related to platform or application issues
Mentor and lead junior engineers, fostering best practices in scalable and secure system design
Keep current with advancements in cloud-native architectures, AI/ML trends, and automation tools for continuous innovation

Experience Requirements
Minimum 7+ years of professional experience developing enterprise microservices and event-driven architectures
Proven success in deploying scalable, secure solutions on cloud platforms, especially AWS
Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kubernetes at scale
Experience working within regulated industries (such as finance or banking) and implementing security standards
Knowledge of AI/ML integration, particularly with LLMs and ChatGPT for automation or support tools (preferred)
Day-to-Day Activities
Architect and develop scalable microservices, API endpoints, and event-driven workflows supporting business operations
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks
Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis to improve reliability
Collaborate with product and security teams to embed best practices for security, compliance, and performance
Support system upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements
Conduct code reviews, implementation workshops, and technical documentation to maintain quality standards
Explore and adopt new cloud services, AI/ML tools, and automation practices to foster innovation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in enterprise Java development, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are valued
Demonstrable success in designing secure, scalable, and high-performance distributed systems in regulated environments
