Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in web services, API development, and custom API/wrapper building. The ideal candidate will have a consulting mindset and hands-on experience in building, managing, and maintaining Java-based applications and API wrappers, particularly around MDM and peripheral systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web services and APIs.

• Build and manage custom APIs and API wrappers for integration with MDM and peripheral systems.

• Develop and test API wrappers to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with consulting and business teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Manage end-to-end API lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable API integrations following industry best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications and integrations.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Java application development.

• Strong experience in Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API development.

• Proven expertise in custom API development and wrapper building.

• Hands-on experience integrating MDM systems and peripheral applications.

• Strong knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JUnit, etc.).

• Solid understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).

• Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
