We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java application development, AWS cloud migration, and AI model integration or development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, modernize, and migrate enterprise applications to cloud-based environments while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance automation, intelligence, and system performance. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work on complex, mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
- Lead or support the migration of applications from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS cloud.
- Analyze existing systems and define migration strategies, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or modernization as appropriate.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
- Implement cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
- Integrate AI models or AI-enabled services into applications to support intelligent automation, analytics, or decision-making.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for application deployment and release management.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical planning sessions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, with minimum 12 years of experience or 8 years of experience with master’s degree
- Strong hands-on experience in Java development, including object-oriented design and enterprise application development.
- Proven experience with AWS cloud migration projects.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, deployment patterns, and AWS best practices.
- Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI models, machine learning concepts, or AI-powered application integration.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD tools, and agile development practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Selected candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, or Spring Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, model deployment, prompt engineering, or generative AI services.
- Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Experience modernizing legacy monolithic applications into cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog.
