Location: Laakdal - Hybrid – 3 days onsite

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable backend systems, experienced in cloud-based environments (AWS), and comfortable collaborating across front-end and data teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Java.
- Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Deploy, manage, and scale applications on AWS infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with front-end engineers (React or similar frameworks) to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to improving performance, reliability, and security across systems.
- Work in an agile environment, taking ownership of development cycles and deliverables.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, primarily with Java.
- Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Python (not necessarily expert level).
- Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work 3 days onsite as part of a hybrid schedule.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to data processing or analytics pipelines is a plus.
