Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ITRS Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing ITRS Geneos monitoring solutions to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of monitoring tools, alert management, and strong problem-solving skills to support our business operations effectively.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $105k – CAD $110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure new alerts within ITRS Geneos based on business requirements.
- Tweak and optimize existing alerts to reduce false positives and ensure accurate monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ITRS Geneos alerts and configurations.
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to understand monitoring needs and implement appropriate solutions.
- Maintain documentation of alert configurations and monitoring procedures.
- Perform regular system health checks and ensure the monitoring environment is operating optimally.
- Assist in the development of monitoring strategies and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Stay current with new features, updates, and industry best practices related to ITRS Geneos.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience with ITRS Geneos or similar monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
