Senior IT Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Information Technology Project Leader is responsible for managing and driving the successful deployment of technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and manufacturing technology solutions that support BAC's manufacturing operations and business objectives. This role leads the planning, coordination, execution, and implementation of strategic technology initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA, enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, and manufacturing systems.  

Partnering closely with Finance, Manufacturing Systems, Operations, GBS, Engineering, and external vendors, the Information Technology Project Leader manages project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, communications, and risks to ensure successful project delivery. The role provides leadership within a matrix organization, coordinating cross-functional teams to execute technology deployments that support facility startups, operational excellence, cybersecurity, data integrity, and long-term business growth.  

This position plays a critical role in technology modernization efforts, capital projects, and facility expansions by driving projects from planning through go-live and stabilization while ensuring stakeholder alignment, business readiness, and successful adoption. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, timelines, governance requirements, and operational priorities. 

• Coordinate the deployment of enterprise technology solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, infrastructure, cloud platforms, telecommunications, end-user computing, and manufacturing technology systems. 

• Lead cross-functional project teams and external partners, aligning activities across GBS, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution. 

• Coordinate technology readiness activities for facility startups, plant expansions, and capital projects, ensuring infrastructure, connectivity, enterprise applications, cybersecurity controls, and support processes are operational prior to launch. 

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, resources, vendor relationships, and expenditures to ensure financial accountability and achievement of project objectives. 

• Facilitate project governance, stakeholder communication, executive reporting, issue resolution, risk management, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. 

• Coordinate SAP implementation activities, including requirements gathering, testing, cutover planning, training, go-live support, and post-implementation stabilization. 

• Partner with Manufacturing Systems and Operations teams to implement manufacturing technology solutions, including PLC, SCADA, MES, machine connectivity, traceability, and production data systems that enhance operational performance. 

• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Support teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, data privacy requirements, access controls, and corporate governance policies. 

• Train, coach, and develop site-based support personnel and project stakeholders to strengthen technical capability, adoption, and ongoing operational support. 

• Ensure technology projects incorporate business continuity, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk mitigation requirements while supporting BAC standards, policies, and operational resilience objectives. 

NATURE AND SCOPE: 

This position serves as a strategic project leadership role responsible for delivering information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) initiatives that support BAC's manufacturing operations and business objectives. The role oversees complex projects spanning enterprise applications, infrastructure, manufacturing technologies, cybersecurity, facility startups, plant expansions, and operational improvement initiatives. 

The incumbent manages multiple concurrent projects within a matrix environment, coordinating resources, stakeholders, vendors, budgets, schedules, and risks to ensure successful project execution. Working closely with GBS, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and external partners, the role ensures technology solutions are aligned with business requirements and support long-term operational success. 

 Success in this position requires strong project leadership, business acumen, financial management, technical knowledge, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support BAC's growth and operational performance. 

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience leading technology projects within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or operations-focused environments. 

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale ERP implementations; SAP S/4HANA experience and SAP expertise required. 

• Strong knowledge of project management disciplines, including governance, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, change management, and project controls. PMP certification preferred. 

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and coordinate resources within a matrix organization. 

• Knowledge of enterprise technology environments, including infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and business applications. 

• Experience supporting manufacturing technology solutions, including PLC, SCADA, MES, industrial automation, machine connectivity, traceability, and production data systems. 

• Understanding of IT/OT integration, industrial networking, manufacturing data collection, and related operational technologies. 

• Experience supporting facility startups, plant expansions, capital projects, or greenfield implementations preferred. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial, organizational, and decision-making skills. 

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive reporting capabilities. 

• Experience developing technical talent and supporting distributed manufacturing operations. 

• Knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity compliance, and information governance practices. 

• ITIL, CISSP, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.
