The Role:
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead strategic technology transformation initiatives for one of Switzerland's leading retail banks. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will deliver complex programmes spanning data, CRM, master data management, regulatory change, and enterprise transformation.
You will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams and delivery partners to successfully execute large-scale initiatives that improve operational efficiency, strengthen data capabilities, and support the bank's digital strategy.
What You'll Do:
- Lead complex transformation programmes across data, CRM, master data, regulatory and enterprise technology initiatives within a retail banking environment.
- Manage cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, architects and technology partners to successfully deliver strategic programmes while balancing scope, timelines, quality and risk.
- Drive the definition and implementation of enterprise-wide data and master data strategies that support business transformation, regulatory compliance and digital innovation.
- Facilitate collaboration between Business, IT, Data, Architecture and Operations while leveraging AI-enabled workflows and approved automation tools to improve project delivery, reporting and decision-making under appropriate governance.
- Apply Agile delivery methodologies using Jira, Confluence and modern project management practices to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
- 8–10+ years' experience as a Senior IT Project Manager, Programme Manager, Transformation Manager, Stream Lead or Data Strategy & Advisory Lead, preferably within Financial Services.
- Proven experience delivering complex transformation, optimisation, CRM, master data, data management or enterprise technology programmes within banking, financial services, insurance or large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application landscapes, solution architecture, data governance, master data management, analytics, process optimisation and technology transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills with the ability to bridge Business, IT, Data and Architecture teams. Comfortable adopting approved AI tools responsibly to improve productivity while applying sound judgement, governance and appropriate review.
- Fluent German (C2 or near-native) and English (B2 or above).
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with Data Governance, Data Quality, CRM, CLM, Data Literacy, Advanced Analytics, cloud-based data platforms or AI adoption initiatives.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes within Swiss retail banking.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum, Agile or Cloud certifications.
