Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior IT Project Management Specialist to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composites Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing's Fighter Programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to align IT strategies to organizational goals, and manage those plans clearly and efficiently. Candidates should be organized, assertive, and have a successful history of developing actionable plans and roadmaps.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage complex, enterprise-wide IT project and program plans, including integrated schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and performance baselines.
  • Lead the development and execution of project communication plans for diverse stakeholder groups, including executive leadership, program offices, and external partners.
  • Conduct and lead technical and design reviews; ensure architectural alignment and traceability of requirements through design, integration, test, and deployment.
  • Lead enterprise risk management activities: identify project risks, quantify impacts, and develop, document, and track mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Monitor project deliverables and supplier outputs for conformance to technical, schedule, budget, and quality requirements; implement remedial actions as needed.
  • Identify, negotiate for, and secure necessary resources (internal and external) to meet program objectives; provide analysis and recommendations on optimal resource allocation.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of related IT program/project management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven risk management experience, including development and tracking of mitigation plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing and delivering executive-level briefings.
  • Ability to make high-impact decisions and serve as a trusted consultant to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible IT project/program management experience, including leadership of enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Relevant program management certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, MSP).
  • Experience working on enterprise platform transformations, or mission-critical IT modernization programs as part of a cross-functional team that includes Operations, Finance, Software Engineers and other support teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing precedential solutions for novel or unusually complex problems and influencing organizational strategy.
