Responsibilities
- Support and operate enterprise IT infrastructure environments, ensuring performance, availability, and capacity
- Own day-to-day infrastructure operations across servers, virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms
- Partner with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, including data center optimization and cloud migration efforts
- Act as a senior escalation point during infrastructure incidents and participate in root-cause analysis
- Provide hands-on L2/L3 support during critical initiatives and high-impact incidents
- Design, document, and support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
- Manage hardware and software inventory, licensing, and vendor support agreements
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support after-hours activities when required
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or operations
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and identity services
- Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery technologies
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience supporting regulated or highly controlled environments
- Exposure to infrastructure cost management, budgeting, or vendor coordination
- Experience supporting infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
- Prior experience acting as a senior technical lead or escalation point
