Senior iOS Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior iOS Developer to join the Feast app engineering team. You will work to provide Feast users with the best, personalised and premium recipe-finding experience by helping them to discover new cooks, techniques and dishes to delight and inspire.

About the role

• Build, test, and maintain major features and existing functionality.
• Work with Swift and occasionally Objective-C across our codebase.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and editorial/commercial teams.
• Participate in key team decision-making processes.
• Engage in both product and technical decision-making.
• Review peer code to uphold high application standards.
• Drive innovation through daily work and regular hack days.
• Support and mentor junior developers.

About you

• You are an experienced iOS developer and have a strong interest in growing your skills. 
• You have experience working in Swift/Swift UI. Experience with Objective C would also be beneficial.
• You can make reasoned choices regarding what technologies to use and when to use
• Them.
• You have experience building and deploying iOS applications.
• You care about code style and quality.
• You have experience mentoring and supporting more junior developers. 
• You are happy to take the lead or work independently on some projects.

Our developers operate in a hybrid environment working 1 day a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 4 days a week remotely.

We strive for transparency in remuneration where possible. The salary band for a Senior iOS Developer at the Guardian is between £82,000-92,000 per year.

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
