Why Masterworks?

  • Are you passionate about democratizing alternative investments?
  • Are you interested in working for a disruptive start-up, focused on a new asset class?
  • Do you enjoy meaningful work that has a noticeable impact on business performance?
Position Overview

As a Senior Investment Adviser for Masterworks Advisers, you will be a trusted, high-impact contributor on our advisory team — bringing deep financial expertise and a proven track record of client relationship management, and play a pivotal role in growing our investor community — whether guiding prospective investors through their first art investment or nurturing relationships with our established member base.

You will be matched to one of two senior advisory tracks based on mutual fit identified during the interview process:

  • New Investor Onboarding (Senior): Lead complex onboarding engagements with high-net-worth and sophisticated prospective clients. Set the standard for advisory quality, providing investment recommendations on fine art and other real or digital assets (gold, Bitcoin, etc.) .
  • Existing Investor Growth (Senior): Own a portfolio of established investors, driving significant repeat investment activity through proactive outreach, annual portfolio reviews discussing highlights and lowlights, and strategic presentation of new offerings. Maximize investor lifetime value and wallet share.

In either track, you will combine expertise in financial markets, portfolio construction, and macroeconomics with refined relationship skills to deliver an exceptional investor experience. Comprehensive training on the art market, art as an asset class, and Masterworks offerings is provided.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior adviser to prospective or existing investors, delivering highly consultative guidance on blue-chip art as an alternative asset and other real or digital assets (gold, Bitcoin, etc.)
  • Lead portfolio reviews, present new artwork investment opportunities, and drive investment decisions with confidence and credibility
  • Strategically re-engage high-value inactive or lapsed investors and convert them back into active platform members (existing investor track)
  • Cultivate and grow deep, long-term relationships with a sophisticated investor base to maximize investment activity and lifetime value
  • Leverage CRM tools and data dashboards to optimize pipeline management, outreach strategy, and performance metrics
  • Ideate, design, and test advanced strategies to identify new growth vectors and consistently exceed KPIs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and FinOps to drive specific business objectives
Team Overview
  • Masterworks Advisers is a team of ~15 advisers and growing, with Senior Advisers playing a leadership role within the group
  • Advisers come from diverse professional backgrounds; Senior Advisers are expected to model excellence and raise the bar for the team
  • Track placement (new investor onboarding vs. existing investor growth) is determined collaboratively during the interview process
