Introduction:
Boeing's Corporate Tax Department is seeking an experienced Senior International Tax Specialist to join our European tax team in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
In this role, you will partner with tax colleagues, international finance, legal, business operations, regional leadership, and external advisors to provide timely tax advice, ensure accurate tax reporting, and drive tax-efficient outcomes across the region. You will be a key contributor to cross-functional projects.
You will have substantial experience in international tax - whether your background is in corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, or as a tax generalist - and you are eager to broaden your expertise. You will identify opportunities for transformation (including via process automation, AI and innovation), lead and manage projects, and communicate complex tax issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
- Advise on direct and indirect tax consequences of new business operations, restructurings, and strategic projects in the region and other global markets
- Coordinate with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions and ensure pragmatic implementation of advice
- Monitor relevant tax developments and proactively assess impacts on the business
- Coordinate CIT and VAT compliance outsourced to external advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Support and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Assist with tax planning projects to help ensure a globally tax-efficient structure
- Prepare tax provision calculations for relevant entities
The role is hybrid and requires occasional off-hours meetings and calls to collaborate with colleagues in different time zones. International travel is required from time to time.
Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):
- 8+ years of relevant international tax experience in a tax advisory firm or a multinational
- Comfortable working across multiple tax topics (direct and indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting)
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision
- Strong project-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple engagements simultaneously
- Solid understanding of complex cross-border tax issues and income tax accounting (tax provisions)
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to summarize findings and develop practical recommendations
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluency in English required
- Existing rights to work in The Netherlands
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, or equivalent
- Dutch or other language advantageous
- Confident decision-maker who can recommend a course of action based on analysis and explain rationale to stakeholders
