At KODE Labs, our mission is to build the best technology that empowers our team to deliver the best possible experience for our clients every single day. To make this happen, we depend on talented and ambitious people who share our passion for innovation and excellence.
In this role, you will:
Lead Connectivity & Infrastructure Strategy: Collaborate with clients to determine optimal connectivity methods for building systems. Assess complex technologies and network infrastructure to prepare for integration.
Execute & Optimize Integrations: Set up, configure, and optimize integration devices (NUC, VM, JACE) and Niagara stations. Perform Niagara discovery, configure schedules, logic, and folder structures.
Manage Network Security & Flow: Set up and manage VPN/Reverse Proxy connections in coordination with the Network Team. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical blockers (e.g., VLAN, IP assignments).
Enable Applications & APIs: Oversee and enable core applications, future KODE OS features, and API configurations. Coordinate testing, UAT support, and design custom solutions (workflows, routines, adapters) when deployment gaps or blockers arise.
Interpret Technical Documentation: Review and interpret technical documentation, such as mechanical drawings and sequences of operations, to plan and execute application enablement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts, Project Managers, and Client Success teams to ensure integrations work seamlessly, eliminate data discrepancies, and meet client-specific use cases.
Drive Process Excellence: Document lessons learned to improve future deployments, establish best practices, and provide ongoing feedback to enhance overall product capabilities and deployment standards.
Client & Vendor Relations: Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, own vendor quotes to ensure alignment with scope, and ensure applications are optimized and aligned with operational goals.
Requirements
Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the Smart Building, IoT, or software engineering space, with a proven track record of managing multiple fast-paced projects.
Domain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to understand practical applications. Familiarity with Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) or other building automation applications is highly preferred.
Technical Integration Skills: Deep familiarity with Tridium Niagara, API integrations, and complex system configurations.
Networking Proficiency: Hands-on experience with network setups, routing, VPNs, and reverse proxies.
Data & Scripting Capabilities: Solid data analysis skills across diverse datasets, with proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python or similar) to design scalable solutions.
Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to break down complex systems into clear terms for clients and internal teams.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
