POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of the Senior Integration Engineer is to develop integration solutions, based on specifications, using the e2open toolset. It involves the methodical investigation and analysis of all or part of a business in terms of its business functions and processes in relation to e2open solutions. Data Integration into and out of client back-office systems plays a major part in the role.
Primary responsibilities include the definition of requirements and the solution implementation for integrating any aspect of the client processes with e2open software and services. A Senior Integration Engineer must also be able to size, scope and help cost estimate our services for customers.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- To work with colleagues and clients/users to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using methodical and consistent techniques.
- Collaborate with global customers on B2B integration projects involving technologies such as EDI, RosettaNet, XML, and JSON.
- Engage in multiple B2B projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, solution development, and user acceptance testing.
- To arrange, prepare and take part in client/user meetings and present issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
- To keep up to date with advances, approaches, techniques and technologies etc. as they relate to the role.
- Maintain and support projects during the post-implementation phase, including post-production support.
- Work as part of a global team.
- Monitor service requests in the queue.
- Ensure that service requests are handled and resolved according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed
- Other tasks and activities as assigned.
Front of office / Mapping Specification Focused Only
- Create and manage mapping specification documentation for the mapping engineering team to implement.
- Collaborate with global customers on B2B integration projects involving technologies including but not limited to EDI (X12, EDIFACT, VDA etc), RosettaNet, XML & JSON.
- Engage in multiple B2B projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, solution development, and some user acceptance testing.
- To arrange, prepare and take part in client/user meetings and present issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a software environment
- Experience of operating within a supply chain environment, preferred
- Programming Language Knowledge (Java, Groovy, XQuery, etc.) desirable
- Message transport protocols knowledge – sFTP, AS2, IBM MQ, etc. required
- Knowledge of EDI, required
- Experience of multiple platforms desirable
- Computer literacy essential
- Well presented, articulate and confident with strong inter-personal skills.
- Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential
- Experience of relevant vertical markets, e.g. Retail, ocean freight, road shipping and air cargo, desirable
- Demonstrates the e2open Operating Principles and Values
Front of office / Mapping Specification Focused
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in dealing with customers and third-party accounts.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
