Purpose of the role

To design, develop, implement, and maintain various statistical, mathematical and machine learning models to support decision-making by analysis and solving complex problems. 

Accountabilities

  • Acquisition and collection of data from various sources, including internal databases, external datasets, and real-time feeds.
  • Performing data cleaning and pre-processing tasks to ensure data quality and suitability for model development.
  • Design and implementation of data management strategies for model maintenance and future development.
  • Designing, development, and implementation of statistical and machine learning models for various applications, including credit risk assessment, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimisation.
  • Monitoring model performance in real-time and identify any potential issues or biases.

Barclays is seeking an experienced Senior Hyperion Developer with a background in data governance and enterprise performance management solutions. You will bring deep technical knowledge and a solid understanding of financial processes to the team. This role requires the ability to work effectively within tight timelines, demonstrate project management capabilities, and create stakeholder relationships. You will need to possess excellent critical thinking skills to interpret and translate highly detailed business requirements into scalable solutions. The ability to show determination and resourcefulness are essential. Additionally, an understanding of data and technology regulatory and governance frameworks is required to ensure compliance and integrity across all solutions.

To be successful as a Senior Hyperion Developer, you should have experience with:

  • Design, modelling, implementation, development, and maintenance of Oracle Essbase applications

  • Implementations of any Oracle’s EPM suite of products such as PBCS, EPBCS, Planning, and Free Form

  • Building data integrations, designing dashboards, and reports

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • End-to-end integrations between EPM Cloud and other source systems like ERP, HR systems

  • Documenting functional design documents, test strategy/scenarios/cases, application user guide

  • Delivering trainings to users

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.

Minimum Salary: $110,00

Maximum Salary: $155,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for an incentive award.
