Partner with the bestAs an Senior HSE Specialist, you will provide day‑to‑day HSE support to manufacturing and AMO operational sites. You will develop solutions aligned with regulatory and organizational compliance obligations, assist in identifying workplace hazards, and make recommendations to leadership and employees. You will raise awareness, influence, and engage teams to strengthen a proactive and interdependent HSE culture.
As an Senior HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for:Overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental programs to maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal requirements while driving continuous improvement.
Influencing and mentoring facility leadership to strengthen an interdependent HSE culture.
Developing, preparing, and presenting regular updates to facility leadership on key HSE performance indicators.
Facilitating or leading incident investigations and supporting the development and assessment of corrective and preventive actions.
Analyzing incident and near‑miss trends to identify emerging issues and recommend corrective actions.
Performing self‑assessments and audits to ensure conformance with the Baker Hughes HSE Management System.
Overseeing employee health, safety, and environmental programs including risk assessment, respiratory protection, ergonomics, and hearing protection.
Serving as the HSE technical expert for process hazard analyses, management of change, incident investigation, hot work permitting, emergency planning, and response.
Providing regulatory compliance guidance to operations staff, leadership, and the HSE team regarding day‑to‑day obligations and requests.
Conducting internal and supporting external audits, including action‑item closure.
Supporting safety document development and reviews.
Providing HSE reports for local management.
Participating in monthly product line safety observation reviews.
Facilitating learning teams.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or a related field.
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and field personnel.
Possess strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, team‑building, and influencing capabilities.
Have a thorough understanding of safety regulations and regulatory processes, including the ability to research, interpret, and implement HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Have experience in HSE management systems auditing.
Have experience with root‑cause investigation techniques.
Be able to work independently.
Be capable of making compliance‑related decisions that directly impact business operations and advising business and functional leaders on company policies and procedures.
