The Senior HR Business Partner leads the alignment of business objectives with team members and leaders to promote performance and well-being. Partners with stakeholders to deliver value-added services which enable GuideStone to deliver on its ministry and business assignment. Serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR processes, policy, and initiatives. Performs complex work important to the organization, operating with minimal supervision and wide latitude for independent judgment, contributing to measurable team and organizational objectives while driving impact and fostering teamwork. We serve those that serve the Lord with the integrity of our hearts and the skillfulness of our hands. What You'll Do:
 

HR Business Partnership & Support 

  • Provides strategic HR guidance and consultation to assigned business units on policies, procedures, and complex employee relations matters. 

  • Partners with leaders to address workforce planning, organizational changes, and talent considerations. 

  • Leads implementation of HR initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise strategies. 

  • May assist less-experienced HR business partners with complex work. 
     

Employee Relations & Engagement 

  • Resolves complex employee concerns and employee relations matters. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. 

  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with business unit leadership and serves as a key liaison between HR and business units. 

  • Drives engagement initiatives and contributes to a strong organizational culture, exemplifying GuideStone's values. 
     

HR Programs & Processes 

  • Executes and advises on HR programs such as performance management, compensation, and talent development. 

  • Ensures compliance with HR processes and documentation requirements. 

  • Analyzes data, trends, and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies to meet enterprise needs. 

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of employment law requirements and partners with management to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance. Partners with legal as required. 
     

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

  • Partners with HR team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery, pursuing excellence. 

  • Leads cross-functional initiatives and projects as assigned. 

  • Applies deep knowledge of HR best practices to recommend and implement improvements. 

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, as a HR Business Partner or Senior level HR Generalist or across multiple HR functions. 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. 

  • Strong working knowledge of total rewards, talent development, talent management, and other HR functions. 

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels. 

  • Ability to analyze complex information and make sound recommendations with wide latitude for independent judgment. 

  • Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications. 

  • Must maintain complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
