We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior HR Business Partner to provide local HR support across our 4 German entities and ensure consistent, high-quality HR delivery within the organization.

Your new role

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to management and local HR teams, translating global HR strategy into practical local initiatives while driving compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence .You report to Karin van Hecke, HR Director Normec Foodcare.

In this role you’re responsible for:

  • Translating global HR strategy into local, actionable HR priorities

  • Supporting and advising Managing Directors and local HR teams across the different entities

  • Ensuring legal compliance, employee relations excellence, and consistent implementation of HR frameworks

  • Leading country-level HR programs and coordinating HR activity across multiple business units

  • Acting as the primary HR escalation point for all the 4 German entities

  • Integrating new acquisitions and standardizing HR processes where none exist

  • Coordination of HR Administration for Holding Company

Your Profile
  • 5–10+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally across multiple entities or regions

  • Strong understanding of German employment law

  • You are based in Germany, preferably in the Hamburg area, and are willing to travel regularly between the different German entities

  • Proven experience in HR Business Partnering, employee relations (including complex cases), recruitment & onboarding, organisational development and change, and HR process design and implementation

  • Experienced in managing HR in environments with limited structure and building HR processes from scratch

  • Background in fast-growing, multi-site, or multi-entity organisations

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of German HR legislation

  • Strong HR operations expertise, including contracts, policies, compliance, and employee relations

  • Ability to design and implement scalable HR processes

  • Proficient with HRIS and ATS systems (such as Recruitee) and HR data reporting

  • Strong recruitment and selection capabilities

  • Hands-on and comfortable working in environments without established HR infrastructure

  • Confident in advising and constructively challenging senior stakeholders

  • Thrives in independent working environments

  • Able to support multiple companies with different cultures and dynamics
