What You'll Do

Lead Transformative Transportation Projects

  • Serve as a technical leader on transportation design projects for key clients, including PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).
  • Guide projects from planning through design while ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Apply Your Technical Expertise

  • Develop and oversee roadway geometric design, 3D modeling, cross-section development, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with client managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and marketing professionals to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout project development.

Mentor and Develop Talent

  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.

Contribute to Business Growth

  • Support proposal development and client engagement efforts.
  • Participate in industry organizations and networking opportunities to strengthen client relationships and help expand STV's presence in the region.

What You'll Bring

Education & Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Pennsylvania PE preferred.

Experience

  • Approximately 10–15 years of highway engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with PennDOT and/or the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
  • Experience with agencies in New Jersey, New York, or other transportation authorities is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO design standards and transportation engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing scopes of work, preparing task estimates, and overseeing quality control processes.

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and technical staff.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing future engineering leaders.

Compensation Range:

$132,708.77 - $151,667.16
