We are hiring a highly technical, business-savvy Senior GTM Engineer to help build the next generation of Navan’s GTM systems. This hands-on role connects AI, data, and revenue execution. You will turn prioritized business requirements into production-grade agents, automations, and workflows that are embedded in how our Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations teams work.
Reporting to the Director, GTM Engineering & Systems, you will own the applied engineering layer from prototype through field deployment and iteration. You will partner closely with Engineering, Data, IT, and Security on shared architecture, production readiness, and governance. Success means shipping reliable systems that business teams depend on, not stopping at demos or proofs of concept.
What You’ll Do
- Build and deploy AI agents and agent-assisted workflows that solve prioritized GTM problems and operate reliably in production.
- Take solutions through the full delivery lifecycle: technical design, prototyping, implementation, testing, evaluation, release, monitoring, and post-launch iteration.
- Write, review, and debug code used to extend low-code platforms and connect systems across the GTM stack.
- Connect Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Slack, and internal data through APIs, webhooks, middleware, and native integrations.
- Build automations and orchestrations using tools such as Salesforce, Cursor, Claude Code, and AI-assisted development environments.
- Implement the controls required for production agents, including evaluations, human review, observability, error handling, permissions, auditability, sensitive-data safeguards, and rollback paths.
- Translate approved playbooks and requirements into reusable technical components that can support multiple agents and workflows.
- Partner with Engineering, Data, IT, and Security to harden solutions and align them with Navan’s architecture and release standards.
- Troubleshoot issues across agent logic, integrations, Salesforce, permissions, automation, and data flow.
- Measure business and technical performance, including adoption, reliability, time saved, data quality, pipeline impact, and revenue outcomes.
- Document architecture, decisions, runbooks, and operating procedures so solutions can be maintained and scaled.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of progressive experience in GTM Engineering, Business Systems, Solutions Engineering, Growth Engineering, Data Engineering, Revenue Operations Systems, or a comparable technical role. We value depth of relevant work over a specific title.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered agents, copilots, or automations used by business teams in a production environment.
- Evidence of shipped work. Please include links to relevant GitHub repositories, deployed products, technical case studies, or other substantive examples. If your work is proprietary, you should be prepared to walk through a sanitized architecture or repository, your individual contribution, production controls, and measurable results.
- Proficiency in at least one production programming language such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Apex, plus working knowledge of SQL. You can inspect, modify, test, and debug AI-generated code rather than treating it as a black box.
- Strong hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication, data mapping, and integration troubleshooting.
- Experience operating production automations or agents, including testing, evaluation, monitoring, failure recovery, access controls, and change management.
- Strong Salesforce experience, including data modeling, Flow, permissions, APIs, automation, and production support.
- Experience with modern orchestration, automation, enrichment, or AI development platforms. Direct experience with every tool in Navan’s environment is not required.
- A practical understanding of enterprise GTM workflows across sales cycles, marketing funnels, pipeline management, and post-sale delivery.
- A track record of owning ambiguous technical problems, making sound implementation decisions, and delivering maintainable solutions.
- Clear communication and documentation skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to business and engineering partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ZoomInfo, Clay and signal-based workflows, buyer-intent data, enrichment, account prioritization, or opportunity scoring.
- Working knowledge of agent frameworks, Model Context Protocol, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, or evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with development and release tooling for Salesforce and integrated applications.
- Salesforce certifications related to platform development.
- You should be comfortable learning new technologies and choosing the right implementation approach while working within Navan’s engineering, security, and governance standards.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
