Senior Graph Platform Engineer
Role Summary: Hands-on deployment, clustering, and day-to-day operations of Neo4j on Kubernetes in Azure.
Experience: 6 - 12 years in platform/infrastructure engineering, with strong hands-on Kubernetes and Azure depth; production graph-database operations experience preferred.
Key responsibilities:
- Deploy and operate Neo4j Enterprise on AKS per the Lead's architecture — causal clustering, multi-zone availability, resource sizing
- Execute and maintain the disaster-recovery cluster and regional replica topology, with tested failover against committed recovery targets
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code within the Lead's established standards — Terraform for AKS, networking, Key Vault, supporting Azure services
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for graph deployments, schema migrations, and application releases
- Manage code artifact and package repositories; enforce version-pinning and controlled release paths
- Configure and operate Change Data Capture replication between clusters and downstream systems
- Implement network isolation, private connectivity, and egress controls at the implementation level
- Own day-to-day cluster monitoring, alerting, and capacity tuning
- Execute the deployer role in the ontology change pipeline — technical execution of approved changes
- Carry production on-call responsibility for critical infrastructure
Required skills:
- 6–12 years in platform or infrastructure engineering, strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise (AKS)
- Hands-on Neo4j cluster operations — deployment, scaling, backup/restore, failover
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or equivalent, production-grade implementation
- CI/CD pipeline build and operation — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
- Strong Azure networking and security fundamentals
- Comfortable owning production on-call for critical infrastructure
Nice to have:
- Experience operating other graph databases (TigerGraph, Neptune) at platform level
- Azure Databricks platform administration
- Prior work in a Tier-0 / mission-critical availability environment
