York Space Systems has an opening for a full-time Senior Government Contracts Manager. This position will report to the Chief Legal & Administrative Officer and will be responsible for supporting the contracting function on multiple government programs. This is an in-office job in our Greenwood Village, CO office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support internal stakeholders cross-functionally, including Programs, Engineering, and Business Development regarding contractual aspects of US Government contracting.
- Review customer requests for engineering changes, technical memoranda, and program change direction from US Government customers and identify impacts to contracts; support team (in particular Program change management) in preparing and negotiating responses.
- Provide proposal support, including strategic review of draft and final solicitations and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that optimized, compliant proposals are submitted.
- Strategize regarding IP protection; review and revise agreements as they relate to IP and the data rights of York and its suppliers.
- Support proposal team as needed regarding cost reasonableness determinations in the FFP, nontraditional contracting context.
- Collaborate with other members of the CLAO team as needed to provide uniform and wholistic guidance regarding regulatory and compliance matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing US government contracts throughout the contracting lifecycle (draft RFP, proposal, contracting, performance, close-out).
- Experience supporting Other Transaction Agreements as well as FAR-based contracts.
- Familiarity with firm fixed price US Government contracting.
- Ability to identify scope creep and assist team in identifying and executing productive paths forward for program success.
- Experience managing IP, including with regard to data rights assertions.
- Experience in the technology and manufacturing industries, next generation space industry preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and superior analytical skills.
- Strong issue-spotting and obstacle-resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least six (6) years of experience.
- Ability to communicate and work productively with a broad range of individuals, from early careerists to senior executives.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, next generation corporate environment.
- Must currently hold or be willing and eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret or above)
