Senior Go Engineer (Connectivity)

You'll join the Connectivity team — the team responsible for the user-facing services that serve as the entry point into Solidgate's payment system. It's hard to overstate how critical these services are: every millisecond of load time and every suboptimal step directly affects merchant conversion and company GMV, which means the work demands technical excellence and continuous improvement.

The team owns Payment Form and Payment Link (products that let merchants connect to Solidgate and start accepting payments within hours), e-commerce integrations such as adapters for platforms like Shopify, SDKs that make technical integration intuitive and seamless, and Merchant Config, an internal service that stores data critical to payment processing. These products are in a stage of active development, aimed at giving merchants an even more intuitive integration experience along with more room for customization, testing, and support. The strategic goal is to make integrating with Solidgate's payment system the most reliable, extensible, and developer-friendly experience on the market.

Your team — Tech Lead, 2 Backend Software Engineers, 2 Frontend Software Engineers, AQA Engineer, Product Analyst, and Product Manager.

Your focus will be on:

• taking part in product decisions across the full development lifecycle

• designing and building backend functionality for our products

• collaborating with other teams to deliver a flawless user experience

• improving the performance, scalability, quality, and reliability of our systems

You'll be working across key components including Payment Form/Payment Link, e-commerce integrations, SDKs, and Merchant Config — with a small team where each engineer directly influences key technical and product decisions, metrics, and ultimately the company's financial and reputational outcomes.

• 5+ years of experience with Go or another statically typed language (with a willingness to move to Go)

• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and distributed systems

• Experience designing reliable, scalable, high-load systems

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/GCP)

• Strong communication skills, ownership, and a proactive mindset

• Flexibility and a results-driven approach

• Fintech experience and experience with high-load, user-facing systems

• Observability/Alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Event-driven systems (SQS / Kafka)
