Do you want to work on complex global programs with multiple cross-functional integration points within one of the most impactful companies in the world? Using multiple methodologies, you will manage program schedules, cost and quality proactively, making recommendations within the program objectives.
Leveraging your strong project management knowledge, best practices and organizational dynamics, you will remove impediments and mitigate issues and risks, while mentoring others on agile and project management methodology.
Your responsibilities
- Work within multiple methodologies to develop a comprehensive schedule.
- Collect effort estimates and understands available capacity to derive accurate durations.
- Plan and facilitate of standard meetings to include backlog preparation, iteration planning, retrospectives, iteration reviews and daily stand-ups.
- Articulate complex schedules and inter-dependencies in a consumable way for stakeholders.
- Monitors future work to proactively adjust plan and resource focus and look for trends to foresee scheduling challenges.
- Manage sub-project dependencies and program constructs as well as project managers and scrum masters as needed to deliver the project outcome.
- Identify, solicit and document specific project risk/impediments at initiation using various modes and questioning techniques. Proactively identifies, documents, and communicate risks throughout the project lifecycle, including gaining project stakeholder agreement.
- Recommend deviation from the standard process and gain consensus from stakeholders.
- Provide all qualitative and quantitative status updates in the context of the project's critical success criteria and overall goals.
- Identify, solicit and document specific project risks and impediments at initiation using various modes and questioning techniques.
- Address quality issues directly with the team and communicate proactively with the stakeholders on long-term resolution.
- Drive efforts toward continuous improvement.
- Strong relevant work experience in Program Management, including managing complex cross-functional projects and at least 3 years of building leadership competence
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems or Engineering
- Advanced Level Understanding of Project Management methodologies, values, and procedures as well as large scale, complex projects - solid understanding of agile and waterfall frameworks and their impact on business value
- Experience in cross-functional international environment subject to frequent change highly preferred
- Ability to identify the appropriate level of granularity that satisfies visibility and control needs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of organization and within different stakeholder groups (zooming in and zooming out of details as needed based on the audience to meet appropriate level of granularity that satisfies visibility and control needs
- Willingness to engage with and invite diverse ideas, assertive capability to influence others, drive successful conflict management and excel at teamwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with relevant business software (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, Visio etc)
- PMP or Related certification preferred
