Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead complex geospatial projects, develop innovative GIS solutions, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement sophisticated GIS databases and spatial analysis models
- BIM & GIS intergration
- Experience in FME
- Conduct advanced spatial analysis and data modelling to support decision-making processes
- Develop and maintain GIS applications and tools to streamline workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into GIS solutions
- Manage and mentor junior GIS professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and methodologies, recommending improvements to existing processes
- Provide technical expertise and support for organisation-wide GIS initiatives
- Prepare and present detailed reports and maps for various audiences
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
- Professional GIS certification (e.g., GISP) is highly desirable
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in GIS applications and spatial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS and QGIS
- Strong skills in spatial analysis, data modelling, and cartography
- Expertise in remote sensing and image processing techniques
- Proficient in database management using SQL
- Programming experience in Python, R, or other relevant languages
- Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Domain expertise in urban planning, environmental management, or natural resource management is advantageous
- Willingness to travel within India as required for project work
