As a Senior GIS Programmer with Resource Data, you’ll help design and develop geospatial data and geospatial solutions that elevates enterprise geospatial systems efficiency, performance, and value. You’ll join a team of technical consultants to provide solutions for our clients' most challenging enterprise geospatial problems. Currently, we are delivering on a client-facing ArcGIS Experience Builder application used for monitoring air quality in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop GIS web applications, automated workflows, and databases
- Integrate clients' non-spatial applications with geospatial information
- Perform vector and raster GIS data processing and spatial analysis
- Evangelize the GIS practice to capitalize on growth opportunities within client teams
- Assist project teams in writing accurate estimates, proposals, and architectural trade-offs
- Collaborate with the GIS Community of Practice to mentor junior analysts, participate in technical working/learning sessions, and develop internal GIS initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience with geospatial data management, development, and maintenance
- Experience developing custom applications with ArcGIS Online app creation tools (Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder, API for JavaScript, Dashboards, etc.)
- Understanding of spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions, etc.)
- Experience working with ESRI suite of GIS products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, or other GIS tools
- Proficient with complex GIS concepts such as Geometric Networks, Topology, Spatial Joins, Spatial Projections
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or C#
- 1+ years' experience in a client-facing role
- Experience with GIS data migration projects
