Brown Advisory is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Performance Analyst to lead and oversee the firm’s composite performance reporting and contribute to performance related projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in performance measurement and a strong grasp of industry standards, serving as a trusted resource for best practices and regulatory developments. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure operational readiness and compliance, while managing the integrity and delivery of reporting -related materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our external vendor team responsible for GIPS composite management, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and timely updates.

  • Perform detailed performance analysis across asset classes to assess investment decisions and portfolio outcomes.

  • Lead projects to create and improve reporting content and/or advance strategic business goals

  • Ensure composite vendors perform according to agreed standards and SLAs.

  • Train and mentor junior colleagues to build performance expertise within the team.

  • Provide support, innovation, and project consultation for multiple business segments.

  • Develop industry insights through proactive networking, conference attendance, and independent research.

  • Perform other duties of a similar or related level and assist with special projects as necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of analyst or operations experience.

  • Experience in composite maintenance and GIPS verification strongly preferred

  • Experience producing attribution and risk reporting in support of US and International equity and fixed income products

  • Strong Excel knowledge, particularly with large data sets.

  • Extremely detail-oriented.

  • Excellent client service focus with high touch experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem-solve using independent judgment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage external vendor relationships.

  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities and a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work in a team, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt quickly to changes, and complete last-minute requests.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for numbers and quantitative proficiency.

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive client information with discretion.

  • Ability to work in the office five days a week.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the financial services industry.

  • Knowledge of Advent Software or other portfolio management systems.

  • Experience with client performance reporting.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (e.g., H-1B , O-1, F-1 (OPT), TN, or any other non-immigrant visa classifications that require employer support or sponsorship).

MD Salary: $80-95k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).

DC Salary: $88-104.5k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
