Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Senior General and Operations Manager to support United States Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Sensing (SN) activities in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California.

This position will provide task order management, personnel management, program integration, transition, quality, cost, schedule, and performance execution for Space Sensing SETA support. The selected candidate will lead complex technical or analytical efforts, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, provide actionable recommendations to Government leads, and help drive high-quality program and mission outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in the functional area, sound judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lead complex work across Government and contractor teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead complex technical or analytical tasks, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to Government leads.
  • Review work products, help resolve complex issues, and mentor or guide less-experienced team members as appropriate.
  • Provide management and oversight of contractor and subcontractor activities supporting the Space Sensing task order.
  • Coordinate personnel, staffing, transition, security, financial, quality, and performance activities required to maintain uninterrupted mission support.
  • Integrate work across technical and functional teams to improve cost, schedule, performance, transparency, and risk management.
  • Maintain awareness of staffing status, vacancies, personnel changes, replacement actions, and mission impacts and coordinate required notifications.
  • Support project kick-off activities, transition management reviews, program management reviews, and Directorate or Division program reviews.
  • Coordinate cross-cutting support across Space Sensing organizations and allocate functional expertise to meet changing mission priorities.
  • Support cost control, forecasting, status reporting, deliverable management, and task order administration activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance, non-conformances, corrective actions, quality objectives, and customer issues.
  • Maintain effective communication between Government leadership, contractor personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

What you will need:

  • Professional experience and technical depth commensurate with a Senior-level role in the applicable functional area.
  • Relevant program management, operations management, task order management, defense contracting, or related experience commensurate with the Senior level.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating staffing, performance, schedule, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Experience managing complex Government support services or technical services efforts.
  • Ability to identify mission, staffing, cost, schedule, and performance risks and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, writing, and briefing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior military, civilian, contracting, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and program management reporting tools.
  • Ability to work on site in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California and support in-person Government meetings and mission activities as required.
  • Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS travel when required by the Government.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and classified information, Government systems, controlled-access facilities, and Government-furnished equipment in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience managing United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, or Department of Defense SETA or professional services contracts.
  • Experience managing a large cleared workforce, subcontractors, or geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with transition-in, staffing, quality management, Monthly Status Reports, Program Management Reviews, or corrective action processes.
  • Experience integrating technical, acquisition, financial, security, and personnel support functions.
  • Experience supporting highly classified Government programs.
  • Experience leading complex technical or analytical efforts and coordinating inputs across multiple stakeholder organizations.
  • Experience briefing senior Government leaders and mentoring or guiding less-experienced staff.

In compliance with California’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $165,000-$185,000.  Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Delta Solutions & Strategies considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
