Join a high-performing team at Sonatus that’s redefining what cars can do in the era of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV).

At Sonatus, we’re driving the transformation to AI-enabled software-defined vehicles. Traditional automotive software methods can’t keep pace with consumer expectations shaped by the mobile industry—where features evolve rapidly, update seamlessly, and improve continuously. That’s why leading OEMs trust Sonatus to accelerate this shift. Our technology is already in production across more than 5 million vehicles on the road today and rapidly expanding.

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, with 250+ employees worldwide, Sonatus combines the agility of a fast-growing company with the scale and impact of an established partner. Backed by strong funding and proven by global deployment, we’re solving some of the most interesting and complex challenges in the industry. Join us and help redefine what’s possible as we shape the future of mobility.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer based in Dublin, Ireland, with a demonstrated history of successfully leading complex web application projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise across both frontend and backend technologies, capable of driving innovation and delivering robust software solutions that are central to our core business.

In this role, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle development of key features for our web platform—the backbone of our business that supports multiple major product lines. You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.

 Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex, fullstack web applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Architect and implement backend APIs and services using Node.js and Express (or similar frameworks).
  • Build and maintain robust, responsive frontend components and user interfaces with React.js, TypeScript, and Ant Design.
  • Develop and integrate with GraphQL, REST APIs to power interactive and real-time features.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas; write efficient queries for performance and scalability.
  • Define and implement testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Work closely with Product, UX, QA, and other engineering teams to plan, build, and deliver key features.

Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect implementations, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and user-friendliness.

  • Lead technical discussions, share knowledge, and contribute to internal engineering documentation and talks.
  • Promote engineering excellence through adoption of best practices, developer tooling improvements, and continuous learning initiatives.
 Requirements
  • A seasoned engineer with 5+ years of experience building and scaling complex web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and related web development tools.
  • Deep understanding of component-based architecture and state management in modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency in server-side development using Node.js/Express or similar frameworks, with experience designing scalable backend systems and APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB), including schema design and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and scaling.
  • Proven ability to lead the full software development lifecycle—from architectural planning and implementation to testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance.

Benefits Offered:

  • Competitive compensation and stock option offerings
  • Time off (national holidays and statutory annual leave provisions apply)
  • Health care plan (Medical, dental)
  • Income protection and Life insurance benefits
  • Pension plan
  • Fitness Allowance
