Senior Fullstack Engineer (d/f/m) - 6-months temporary role

mobile.de is Germany's largest vehicle marketplace with about 1.4 million listed cars, trucks, and motorcycles. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Dealer Performance Management and Pricing Team to join us in our Berlin office reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. We work hybrid with a few days in the office and some days remote.

Our team at mobile.de develops tools and features to provide our dealers with clear, relevant data, helping them optimize pricing and performance according to their needs. We are a diverse and passionate team of backend engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and a UX designer, collaboratively building both frontend and backend solutions.

• Ensure code quality through code reviews and pair programming, promoting our team review culture.

• Take ownership of testing (both manual and automated)

• Design and improve backend architecture, with a focus on microservices and distributed systems.

• Maintain a high-level understanding of the team's software architecture and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Contribute to product development by sharing ideas, recommending solutions, and collaborating with other stakeholders.

• Use both backend and frontend expertise to build scalable, maintainable end-to-end solutions.

• You are an experienced software engineer with 5+ years of experience building scalable applications.

• You have expertise in backend development using Java 21 (SpringBoot, Maven).

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs.

• Experience with databases (MongoDB, Elastic Search).

• You are familiar with containerization (Kubernetes).

• You are familiar with cloud services (Kafka).

• You are familiar with CI/CD (Jenkins/Git Actions).

• You have experience with frontend technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js.
