About The Role
The Cybersecurity Group (CG) team within SandboxAQ is building AQtive Guard, an end-to-end, cryptographic management platform that provides a full inventory of existing cryptography use, including vulnerability and compliance analysis, as well as a path to centrally-managed, robust and agile cryptography.
SandboxAQ is looking for an engineer to help functionalize the next generation of cybersecurity systems. You will be developing the gateway to a security suite of cybersecurity modules that help enterprises upscale their cryptographic posture. These modules enable post-quantum cryptography (PQC) in line with the new standards that are now emerging in the field.
We are looking for a deeply experienced full stack engineer who is passionate about creating high-quality, user-friendly web applications. You will be part of a diverse team consisting of cryptographers, mathematicians, ML experts, and physicists, playing a key role in enabling the technologies being developed.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with developers, product managers and designers to architect and implement features and infrastructure for our enterprise Web App.
- Develop and maintain scalable, performant and thoroughly tested code to achieve enterprise-level stability.
- Dedication and passion in achieving product and engineering excellence by adhering to industry and team best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
- 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
- Deep software development experience using Typescript, React & Python.
- Experience developing high-availability, performant and scalable web applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a rapid prototyping environment and adapt to uncertain, fluid situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and flexibility to collaborate effectively across different time-zones.
Nice to Have Qualifications
- Experience with our tech stack (React, Typescript, GraphQL, OCaml, Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL) and tooling (GitHub, Bazel, Docker, GCP, AWS).
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and cryptography.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $154k - $257k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
