Why This Role?
We're looking for a senior engineer with deep frontend expertise to own our client-facing TypeScript stack. You'll be the first dedicated frontend hire on a small, senior engineering team.
You’ll build, maintain, and set engineering standards for our frontend and client SDK built on Lit 3 and web components as we scale: versioning, distribution, testing, isolation, and establishing patterns and architecture for the team.
In practice, you’ll be full stack - contributing to our API, working on other services, and collaborating across the stack - but your primary ownership is the frontend and SDK.
What You’ll Do
- Own our TypeScript/Lit frontend: architecture, patterns, and day-to-day development
- Own our embedded client SDK: versioning, distribution, customer-facing API design
- Contribute to our Rails backend
- Rapidly prototype, test, ship, and iterate on new features
- Contribute to technical strategy and engineering culture as part of a small, tight-knit team
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack development
- Strong TypeScript proficiency
- Deep experience with web components or Lit; strong React or Next.js experience is welcome but web components depth is what we're hiring for
- Demonstrated experience building and distributing frontend SDKs, including versioning, lifecycle management, and isolation in third-party contexts
- Comfortable working across the stack in a small team environment
- Security-first approach to development
- Self-directed and effective in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Nice to Have
- Experience building or maintaining browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Web automation expertise (Puppeteer, Selenium, AI-driven automation, etc.)
- Fintech or banking API experience
