About the Opportunity
We're building the next generation of college sports fan engagement—a platform that will transform how millions of fans connect with their favorite teams and athletes. As one of the lead engineers, you'll have the rare opportunity to architect a multi-tenant platform from the ground up, making technical decisions that will shape our product for years to come and shipping features that reach passionate college sports fans across the nation.
What You'll Build
- Multi-tenant SaaS platform – Design and implement a containerized, cloud-native architecture on AWS that serves multiple universities simultaneously
- Cross-platform mobile experiences – Build high-performance iOS and Android apps using React Native that feel native and delight users
- Modern web applications – Create responsive, fast web experiences using React and Next.js with server-side rendering
- Scalable backend services – Architect Node.js microservices with PostgreSQL that handle high-traffic game days and real-time features
- Intelligent features – Integrate AI/LLMs to create differentiated user experiences and accelerate development velocity
- Content infrastructure – Implement headless CMS solutions (Sanity, Strapi, Contentful) for flexible, multi-tenant content management
Your Impact
- Own features end-to-end—from product requirements through architecture, implementation, and production deployment
- Make key technical decisions on infrastructure, tooling, development practices, and technical direction
- Collaborate daily with founders and early team members to solve ambiguous problems and drive product direction
- Ship quickly and iteratively in a fast-paced startup environment where your work directly impacts product-market fit
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Deep expertise with React Native, React, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL—you've shipped production applications with this stack
- Cloud-native development – Proven track record building and deploying containerized applications on AWS (ECS, EKS, or similar)
- Multi-tenant architecture – Experience building scalable SaaS platforms that serve multiple customers from shared infrastructure
- Headless CMS platforms – Hands-on experience with Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, or similar solutions
- Containerization – Strong understanding of Docker, container orchestration, and cloud-native patterns
- Startup velocity – You know how to ship quickly, iterate based on feedback, and balance speed with quality
- Located in or willing to relocate to Greater Philadelphia – This is a full-time, on-site position
Strong Communication & Ownership:
- You communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to clarify requirements and drive projects forward
- You have strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action
- You thrive in collaborative, in-person environments where ideas flow freely
Bonus Points:
- Background in sports tech or fan engagement platforms (fantasy sports, social sports apps)
- Experience with real-time features or high-traffic applications
- AI/ML integration experience—you've built features using LLMs or machine learning
- Startup experience—you've been part of an early-stage company (pre-Series A) and thrived in that environment
- Passion for college sports—you understand the fan experience and what drives engagement
- Already based in Greater Philadelphia area

Compensation
- Base salary: $130K-$150K (based on experience) + annual performance bonus
