What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively with product, design, and other engineering teams to implement new features and transform existing products
- Build stable, extensible, and testable code
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Help improve detection of inappropriate content across all our brands to enhance user and community safety
- Design, maintain and scale new and existing microservices efficiently
- Work with Next.js and TypeScript for our frontend applications and Golang for our microservices infrastructure
What We're Searching For
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience within increasingly complex engineering organizations
- Ability to debug production issues as they arise
- Experience with consumer-facing applications or web development
- Extensive experience designing, building, maintaining, deploying, and monitoring production-ready microservices and large-scale distributed systems on Kubernetes, preferably using Golang. Python is a nice to have
- Front-end experience with TypeScript frameworks. React and Next.js is a nice to have
- Experience managing Google Cloud infrastructure resources using terraform
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and thorough testing practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate between engineering and product teams
- Passion for continuous learning of new technologies and implementing best practices
