About the role
On this occasion, we are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Network Intelligence area. As a Future Connections developer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Telco engineers and software developers building cross-platform applications for network optimisation, automation, performance monitoring and evaluation, data analytics and visualisation.
The core of this role is data. Our applications ingest large volumes of network performance data, transform it, analyse it, and surface it to engineers who act on the results. You will spend a substantial part of your time working with data in Python, building the transformations, the analysis and the pipelines behind them, and the rest exposing that work through APIs and interfaces engineers rely on during live operations.
We're also looking for someone who genuinely embraces AI-assisted development as a core part of how they work, using tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar to design, build and ship faster, while still applying solid engineering judgement to review, validate and take ownership of everything that goes into production. This is not an entry-level profile: we need someone with real hands-on experience who knows when to trust AI and when to take the wheel.
As part of your role, you will…
Data & analytics
- Transform and analyse large volumes of network performance data in Python with Pandas and NumPy.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, batch and streaming, with attention to correctness, completeness and behaviour under load.
- Model analytical data and work with modern storage formats.
Back-End
- Develop Python services with FastAPI and Flask, exposing the analytical layer through REST APIs.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Use efficient architecture based on microservices and distributed systems with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Linux and AWS.
Front-End
- Develop modern components using TypeScript and ReactJS.
- Implement responsive and accessible interfaces with TailwindCSS, including data visualisation for operational use.
Across the stack
- Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar) to enhance and accelerate development, on both Back-End and Front-End.
You will work in a collaborative, multivendor and multicustomer environment, contributing to projects for major wireless operators in Spain and across Europe. You'll operate within virtualised and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP), and will have the freedom to propose new tools, frameworks or methodologies to improve our applications.
Requirements
- +4 years of experience in software development.
- Strong data work in Python: transforming and analysing datasets with Pandas and NumPy. This is the core competency for the role.
- Hands-on Back-End Python with frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
- Experience building data pipelines at volume, batch and/or streaming, including data quality, consistency and completeness across large datasets.
- Experience developing distributed, event-driven applications using technologies such as Kafka, asynchronous processing and microservice architectures.
- Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs, with familiarity with API contracts, authentication and service-to-service communication.
- Proficient in TypeScript with experience developing Front-End applications using React.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Solid, hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools across the full stack — able to prompt, review and validate AI-generated code with confidence.
- Familiarity with application monitoring, structured logging, metrics and distributed tracing in cloud-native environments.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, end-to-end and API contract testing.
- English level B2 or higher
Nice to have
Familiarity with mobile network KPIs, alarms, OSS concepts and 4G/5G network data structures. We do not expect a telecom background, but curiosity about it.
