About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our company. Your work will guide millions of users toward better health!
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, platform applications and features.
- Contribute to shaping the team’s technical vision and culture, promoting innovation and best practices, taking architectural decisions
- Design, develop and implement complex backend components ensuring high availability and delivering a client-centric interfaces
- Help the team to employ state-of-the-art development methodologies, technologies and tools.
- Actively participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and pair programming sessions to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the backend development landscape.
- Contribute to the development of customer-oriented and data-driven features that enhance user experience and drive our business goals.
What you’ll bring
- Expertise in Spring Boot and a deep understanding of modern Kotlin
- Strong proficiency in unit and integration testing methodologies, with a commitment to heavily relying on testing practices throughout the backend development process.
- Willing to work on the architectural evolution of the application with the security and data protection in mind.
- Proven ability to assess and evaluate multiple potential solutions, with a focus on finding a balanced approach that aligns with project requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- You are happy to pair, learn, teach, share, communicate, and document things every day.
- Proactive, result-oriented, and highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
- We believe that you’ll learn the necessary tools on the job, but additional experience with our stack is a bonus. These technologies and tools include Kotlin, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Google Cloud Storage and Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm and Jenkins. Apart from that our team relies on React and NestJS for the frontend part of the application.
