It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!
We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.
About the roleCogentiq I2C is an enterprise agentic AI platform that runs the order-to-cash cycle for large finance teams, covering collections, cash application, deductions, credit risk, and invoice management. Software agents do the work of chasing payments, matching remittances, and adjudicating claims. Finance teams supervise that work rather than doing it by hand.
We are hiring two senior full-stack engineers to build the web application and the services behind it. The interesting part of the role sits at the boundary between the web application and the agentic layer: showing users what agents are doing while they do it, giving them a way to step in, and making the calls into and out of the orchestration layer reliable. Alongside that, you will help move our ERP integrations from bespoke point-to-point connectors to a reusable pattern that holds up across multiple customers.
This is a hands-on build role with end-to-end ownership, from design conversation through to production support.
- Build the web application in Next.js and TypeScript, including streaming interfaces that render agent output as it is produced and approval flows that let users amend or override agent decisions.
- Build and maintain FastAPI services: case and workflow APIs, document handling, email and notification paths, and the read models the front end depends on.
- Own the call path into the agentic orchestration layer, covering authentication, retries, idempotency, and failure surfacing. Silent failure in this path is the defect class we care most about.
- Build ERP integrations for ingestion and writeback, and help establish a reusable connector pattern in place of one-off implementations.
- Work against the PostgreSQL consumption layer and the published data contracts from the data engineering pod.
- Hold a performance budget on what you ship, measured against production data volumes rather than sample data.
- Participate in production support, root cause analysis, and code review for the areas you own.
- Five to eight years building and running production web applications, with real ownership on both the client and the service side.
- Cloud, required. Hands-on production experience on Azure and GCP, with containers and CI/CD as part of your normal working method. Azure carries most of our workload so depth there matters most, but GCP is a requirement rather than a preference.
- Strong React and TypeScript, including Next.js App Router and complex client state. You should be comfortable reasoning about state that changes underneath the user.
- Strong Python, with production FastAPI or an equivalent async framework, and sound API design habits.
- Experience integrating enterprise or third-party systems over authenticated APIs, including OAuth2 and token-based machine-to-machine flows.
- Working SQL and relational data modelling.
- Evidence that you have debugged a hard distributed failure and fixed the cause rather than the symptom.
- Building interfaces over LLM or agentic systems, including streaming responses and approval flows.
- ERP exposure, particularly Dynamics 365 or SAP, or finance domain products in order-to-cash, accounts receivable, or payments.
- Kubernetes, Azure Databricks, or Redis.
- Accessibility and design system experience.
- Front end: Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Services: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Agentic layer: LLM orchestration and multi-agent workflows
- Data: Azure Databricks, SQL
- Cloud and delivery: Azure and GCP, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps
- Integration: Dynamics 365, SAP, OAuth2
