We are a self-organizing, interdisciplinary team working on purposeful transformation at the intersection of software development, organizational psychology, and ethics. We’re now looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who combines technical mastery with thoughtful problem-solving and a people-centered mindset.
Your Mission
As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Nenya, you will:
- Build and maintain high-quality, end-to-end features across the entire stack
- Co-shape architectural decisions and technical direction in a growing product landscape
- Design data flows and APIs to support insight-driven user experiences
- Translate complex, interconnected systems into usable, intuitive software
- Collaborate deeply with designers, researchers, and domain experts to prototype and deliver impactful solutions
- Support a culture of learning, autonomy, and technical excellence by mentoring peers and contributing to process improvement
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience developing full stack applications in production environments
- Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with strong experience in React, Node.js, and modern web frameworks
- Proficiency in Python for backend scripting, data handling, or AI-related integration
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Experience with API design (REST and/or GraphQL) and asynchronous data processing
- Strong skills in software architecture, testing, documentation, and clean code practices
- Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Docker), and cloud deployment (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Full fluency in English (written and spoken), including technical communication
- A mindset that balances technical pragmatism with careful design thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit — you value trust, autonomy, and shared purpose
- Alignment with values like transparency, ethical use of technology, and self-organization
Nice to Have
- Experience working with data-heavy UIs, DevOps, or AI integrations
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, or graph-based systems
- Background in developer experience tools, design systems, or domain-driven design
- Experience in TEAL, agile, or purpose-driven organizations
- Contributions to open source or tech-for-good projects
