A Glimpse into Your New Role
• Developing modern client-side web applications using modern technologies including Vue.js, NodeJS and ReactJS, React Native
• Experimenting with and adopting modern technologies including building multiplatform applications.
• Collaborating as part of a team of UX & UI designers + frontend, backend & full-stack engineers.
• Participating in code reviews with our Tech Lead and component reviews with our design team to get the most out of your skills.
The Role
You’ll be working with the latest and greatest technology to build applications ranging from SPAs to multi-platform applications supporting global enterprise platforms.
Your team is comprised of Frontend, Backend & Full-stack developers as well as dedicated QAs. Whilst your focus will be to work directly with the development team.
The projects you will work on will challenge and excite you with an array of technical requirements. An example of recent and ongoing projects includes distribution & visualization of live sports data, video on demand subscription services, a SAAS based marketing analytics platform and heaps more.
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years commercial experience developing JavaScript applications using Vanilla/ReactJS/Vue.js/NodeJS or any combination of frameworks.
• 2+ years’ experience with Vue.js or ReactJS or any other component driven JavaScript framework.
• Demonstrated rock solid understanding of modern JavaScript application development including a portfolio to share with your application.
• Solid understanding of ES5/ES6 JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and W3C standards + responsive web development.
• Solid understanding of MySQL and database architecture.
• Experience with modern development tools & processes
• Version control should be second nature using Git.
• Experience interacting with APIs using fetch to request, update & parse data.
• Excellent communicator with a positive nature and attitude willing to both share knowledge and train others.
Desirables
• Experience with React Native is a huge plus
• Experience working with a cross-functional team in an Agile / SCRUM environment.
• Experience & understanding of backend development / traditional software development.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Experience with modern platforms such as Wordpress and Shopify
