ROLE OVERVIEW 

Hands-on senior full-stack engineering role combining AWS cloud-native development, technical ownership, architectural collaboration and delivery leadership. 

About the Role 

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction and implementation of partner-enabled services. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Full-Stack Developers, Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and UI/UX specialists to enhance and scale the existing service portfolio, partner enablers, APIs, and developer platform. 

This is a hands-on position for an experienced engineer who can take technical ownership, contribute throughout the development lifecycle, and help create scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performing solutions across back-end and front-end applications. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Technical Leadership: Drive technical work together with the Project Manager and Solution Architect. Take ownership of development tasks, contribute hands-on, lead technical initiatives, conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and promote continuous improvement. 

• System Development & Implementation: Design, develop, maintain, and evolve partner solutions, reusable components, service enablers, APIs, and full-stack applications using modern engineering practices. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with architecture, product, design, business analysis, UI/UX, and development teams to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure seamless front-end and back-end integration. 

• Architectural Support: Support the Solution Architect with application architecture and technical roadmap activities. Advocate scalable and maintainable designs and evaluate technologies and frameworks that can improve engineering efficiency and user experience. 

• Quality Engineering: Establish and follow coding standards, development best practices, automated testing strategies, code reviews, performance optimization, and engineering quality controls to deliver reliable solutions. 

• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation, development guidelines, reusable patterns, and team standards. Participate in onboarding, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities. 

• Innovation & AI Enablement: Explore and apply modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, where appropriate to improve productivity, delivery speed, and software quality. 

• API & Service Evolution: Help drive the evolution of partner service enablers and APIs, ensuring consistency, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability across applications. 

Must-Have Skills 

• Strong professional experience with TypeScript and modern full-stack application development. 

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, including serverless architectures and cloud-native services. 

• Hands-on development experience with Node.js and React.js. 

• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs or comparable service interfaces. 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC); practical AWS CDK experience is strongly preferred. 

• Understanding of scalable application architecture, reusable components, integration patterns, performance, and maintainability. 

• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, coding standards, debugging, performance optimization, and software quality practices. 

• Ability to take technical ownership and move development forward in collaboration with architects, project leads, and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex problems into manageable technical solutions. 

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. 

Good-to-Have Skills 

• Experience in the automotive industry or an automotive-related digital/service environment. 

• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK, if IaC experience has primarily been gained with other tools. 

• Experience with AI-assisted software development, generative AI tools, or other modern innovation practices that improve engineering productivity. 

• Experience contributing to architectural design, technology evaluation, and application technical roadmaps. 

• Experience creating reusable developer-platform components, partner enablers, SDKs, or service frameworks. 

• Experience facilitating technical workshops, onboarding engineers, mentoring, or sharing development standards and patterns. 

• Ability to create and present technical concepts and innovative ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Education 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another relevant field. 

Experience 

Recommended experience level: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with several years of hands-on full-stack development in complex production environments. Candidates should demonstrate senior-level technical ownership and strong practical experience with the core stack rather than only listed skills or certifications. 

The original requirement specifies several years of experience in complex software development without stating an exact number. The 6+ years threshold is therefore an appropriate recruiting benchmark for the level of technical ownership, hands-on delivery, code review, architectural participation, and guidance expected in this role. 

Location & Work Model 

• Primary location: Lindholmen Science Park, Gothenburg, Sweden. 

• Hybrid work model, combining office-based work with working from home a few days each week. 

• Candidates who are not EU citizens must hold a valid work permit for Sweden.
