We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (React/Node.js) to design, build, maintain, and enhance modern enterprise applications used by growing organizations across North America.

The successful candidate will work closely with solution architects, product leaders, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that are secure, scalable, performant, and maintainable.

This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building robust applications from the ground up, and contributing to architecture and technical decision-making.

Application Development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support.

Technical Design & Architecture

• Contribute to application architecture and technical design discussions.
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
• Ensure systems are designed to support future growth and evolving business requirements.
• Recommend technology improvements and modernization opportunities.

API & Integration Development

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Integrate applications with internal and third-party platforms.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and security across application ecosystems.
• Support integration of emerging technologies, automation tools, and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.

Data Management & Performance Optimization

• Design, develop, and optimize database structures and queries.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to support application performance and scalability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application components.
• Monitor and improve system reliability and uptime.

Quality & Engineering Excellence

• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Support CI/CD processes and automated deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers, and product stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assist in translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to project estimates, delivery planning, and technical documentation.

Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience developing enterprise web applications.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:

• React.js
• Node.js
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• REST APIs
• PostgreSQL
• MongoDB
• Redis
• Git Version Control
• HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Software Engineering Competencies

• Solid understanding of software architecture principles.
• Experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of application security and performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Insurance, Financial Services, FinTech, or InsurTech environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise product development initiatives.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or intelligent workflow solutions.
• Azure, AWS, or other relevant technical certifications.
