Senior Frontend Software Engineer

At Sirona, our Software Engineers (Frontend) build the user-facing applications that are reimagining how doctors interact with medical images in the era of Computer Vision, NLP, and Machine Learning. Working closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and researchers, our engineers tackle challenging problems to advance technology in the radiology space, empowering doctors to deliver the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for building and scaling our highly interactive, feature-rich web applications
• Lead cross-functional efforts to solve large, open-ended problems by designing reusable components and frameworks that enable world-class doctor experiences.
• Build intuitive, high-performance, and reliable interfaces using modern tools to create trustworthy, easy-to-use experiences for doctors.
• Collaborate closely with backend and QA engineers to spec, develop, test, and deploy high-quality code.
• Partner with product managers, designers, scientists, and go-to-market teams to brainstorm and shape new features.
• Translate our vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps in coordination with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
• Mentor and guide team members on design principles and coding standards to continually raise the technical bar.
• Gather requirements from Product, tailor solutions to user needs, and create innovative approaches to complex problems.
• Plan, review, and architect end-to-end solutions with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Align solutions with company goals by weighing costs and benefits to make informed trade-offs.
• Conduct code reviews and engage in pair programming to foster a culture of collaboration and quality.
• Contribute to robust testing practices to ensure stability and prevent regressions.

Key Requirements:

• 6+ years Javascript experience
• 5+ years React experience
• 2+ years experience with JS type systems such as TypeScript, Flow, Elm or Reason
• 1+ year GraphQL and/or VTK experience
• Experience with Recoil, Redux or MobX 
• WebGl, D3, Three.js knowledge nice to have

The annual US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 - $185,000 + equity + benefits. Pay scale is flexible depending on experience. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, relevant education and training.
