Farsight is the agentic AI platform for financial services, currently helping investment banks and private equity firms fully automate entire, highly nuanced workflows. Today, institutions will spend 80% of their time gathering information for and creating first drafts of materials by hand before iterating on and refining their decks, models, and pitches. Our team comes from leading financial institutions like Evercore, General Atlantic and Menlo Ventures, supercharged by scalable engineering and AI skills from companies including Amazon, Hugging Face and the MIT Media Lab. We've learned the ins and outs of building successful startups from previous work as founders and founding engineers. We focus on hiring the best so that we can become the best, so we hope you apply!
We are entirely based in Manhattan, New York City, and are in-person 4 days a week (except Fridays, which are remote).
The Role
Farsight operates at the cutting edge of AI to deliver human-like work within some of the world's largest and most critical financial organizations. As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building the interfaces through which our users experience that work. You'll be turning powerful agentic outputs into seamless, intuitive product experiences for investment banking, private equity, and more!
You will work directly at the interface between customer and product, moving quickly to address real feedback while upholding our standard of clean, efficient, and ready-for-change software. The scope of your projects will range from longer-term platform investments to rapid iteration on customer-facing features. Each one will be crucial to our company's success.
Desired Qualifications
4+ years of non-internship software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience building production-grade, scalable web applications
A sharp eye for clean, functional UI. You care deeply about how things feel, not just how they work
Experience working in unstructured environments where you took full autonomy of projects from conception to deployment
Intrinsically motivated and self-critical, with the ability to move fast on a lean team
Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across a growing team
Positive, fun attitude and a genuine passion for building great products
Above and Beyond Qualifications
Previous experience at an early-stage startup or big tech
Experience building interfaces for AI or data-heavy products
Familiarity with financial services workflows or client environments
Experience interacting directly with customers and incorporating their feedback into product decisions
Comfort with backend or infrastructure work. We all wear many hats
Compensation
Base salary: $150,000 – $180,000
Meaningful equity at Series A
