What You’ll Do
- Build fast, elegant, and accessible frontend experiences that scale beautifully.
- Collaborate closely with designers to turn wireframes into pixel-perfect, production-ready UI. Yes you bring in standardisation of UI components to achieve this.
- Design and implement micro-frontend architectures — splitting large apps into modular, maintainable components.
- Take ownership of our build pipeline, from bundling and code-splitting to lazy-loading and caching.
- Keep our Storybook setup fresh and reliable — documenting reusable UI components and ensuring consistency.
- Write performant, testable, and maintainable code using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Use Playwright to automate E2E scenarios and ensure every interaction works as expected.
- Continuously optimising for performance — bundle size, runtime speed, and Core Web Vitals should excite you as much as new features.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience building production-grade frontend applications.
- Solid grasp of React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
- Experience working with (or curiosity about) micro-frontend setups and module federation.
- Deep understanding of bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) and how to optimise build performance.
- Hands-on experience with Storybook and design systems.
- Practical exposure to Node.js — you’re comfortable writing scripts or light backend logic.
- Strong understanding of web performance, caching, and network optimisations.
- Familiarity with Playwright or similar E2E frameworks.
- An eye for UI/UX detail — you care about interaction states, spacing, and accessibility.
Bonus Points
- You’ve led or contributed to micro-frontend migrations or large-scale design system rollouts.
- You’ve measured and improved Core Web Vitals in production.
- You enjoy experimenting with new bundler tech (e.g. esbuild, rspack, Rsbuild).
- You love finding the balance between beautiful interfaces and blazing-fast delivery.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- You’ll have real influence over our frontend architecture and developer experience.
- We value craftsmanship - clean code, thoughtful design, and performance all matter equally here.
- A collaborative team that enjoys solving tough problems (and sometimes bikeshedding over naming things).
- Flexible culture - focus on outcomes, not timesheets.
- Plenty of room to grow into system design, architecture, or leadership tracks.
