Position Summary 

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals, solid backend and architecture skills, and reasonable working knowledge of frontend development. The core of the role is building and maintaining backend services, automation and integrations, including database design, REST APIs, and microservice architecture, with the ability to also contribute to different stacks such as JavaScript frontend frameworks. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions, with direct ownership of key applications such as the Customer Portal, Websites, internal monitoring systems, etc. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices with sound architectural decisions. 
2. Develop and maintain database integrations, ensuring proper data modeling and query performance. 
3. Build and consume REST APIs, applying good practices in structure, error handling, and documentation. 
4. Contribute to frontend development using React and Next.js when needed, building functional and reasonably polished interfaces. 
5. Integrate applications with CMS and platform tools such as WordPress, Strapi, and WHMCS. 
6. Take ownership of dedicated projects (for example, Customer Portal customizations), maintaining and evolving them with limited supervision. 
7. Build dashboards, tables, charts, and pipeline views from API-driven data for operational and business reporting. 
8. Contribute to and maintain automation workflows using tools such as n8n or Ansible where applicable. 
9. Ensure code quality through peer reviews, coding standards, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. 
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into working technical solutions. 

Required Qualifications

1. English B2+ 
2. Strong foundation in software engineering, programming logic, and system architecture. 
3. Practical experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices from scratch. 
4. Solid experience with database modeling, queries, and data integration. 
5. Reasonable working knowledge of frontend development with React and/or Next.js, sufficient to build functional interfaces when needed. 
6. Understanding of REST APIs, authentication flows, and web security fundamentals. 
7. Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development environments. 

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Docker and containerized environments (Dockerfile, docker compose). 
2. Experience integrating with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Strapi, or WHMCS. 
3. Experience building workflows or integrations using n8n. 
4. Experience with WHMCS customization and theming. 
5. Knowledge of frontend performance optimization, SEO, accessibility, and responsive design. 
6. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright. 
7. Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

2. Key projects such as the Customer Portal owned and evolved with minimal supervision. 
3. Clean, well-structured database integrations and data flows with internal and third-party systems.
