Your Mission
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Canopy, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of oncology care through intuitive, elegant, and performant user experiences. Collaborating with a team of top-tier engineers, clinicians, and product professionals, you will drive innovation by crafting the interfaces that patients and care teams rely on daily. Your work will directly impact thousands of cancer patients and healthcare providers, making critical health interactions more accessible, understandable, and empowering. This role spans the full product lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to implementation and refinement—ensuring Canopy’s platform remains user-centric and visually exceptional.
What You’ll Do
- Develop & Innovate – Design and build impactful user-facing features that improve patient engagement and streamline clinical workflows.
- Solve Complex Challenges – Tackle UX, accessibility, and performance issues to deliver a smooth, reliable experience across devices and environments.
- Enhance Our Tech Stack – Push the boundaries of our frontend architecture using modern frameworks and frontend tooling best practices.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with designers, product managers, clinicians, and backend engineers to ensure our UI reflects real-world healthcare needs.
- Mentor & Guide – Provide frontend leadership, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and contribute to a high standard of design and engineering excellence.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience building modern, scalable web applications.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and advanced proficiency with React (or similar frameworks like Vue or Angular).
- Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design principles.
- Experience translating complex product requirements into elegant, intuitive UIs.
- Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
- Comfortable collaborating in cloud-based environments (GCP/AWS) and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- A passion for building products that make a real difference in people’s lives.
