About the Role
As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, you’ll architect and implement high-quality user interfaces using React and TypeScript. Your work will ensure accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, scalability, and performance across our web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with back-end engineers, product managers, and operations/support teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
This role requires technical depth, strong problem-solving skills, and an eagerness to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment where communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills are key.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to design innovative education products that truly make a difference.
- Propose and implement scalable engineering solutions to complex problems.
- Leverage AI tools to assist with code generation and documentation.
- Ensure exceptional performance, accessibility, and quality in all front-end components.
- Uphold and advance our coding standards and best practices across the team.
- Take full ownership of issues and drive resolutions with urgency and accountability.
- Treat security and data protection as first-class priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain front-end components with React and TypeScript.
- Optimize UI performance and component reuse across the platform.
- Collaborate on designing intuitive user experiences that meet evolving platform needs.
- Integrate APIs to support data flow across GCP, Firebase, Firestore, and other services using GraphQL and REST.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance development speed and maintain clean documentation.
- Drive UI architecture and design decisions aligned with long-term product vision.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to uphold quality and consistency.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of front-end software engineering experience, with deep expertise in React and CSS.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and front-end architecture.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience integrating APIs using GraphQL and REST.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrated urgency and ownership in fast-moving development cycles.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with edtech platforms or education technology.
- Background in remote or distributed engineering teams.
