About the Senior Front End Engineer PositionThe Senior Front End Engineer is responsible for creating clean, efficient, standards compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript across a wide range of web sites and web applications.Responsibilities
- Be capable of taking on any size and complexity of Front End projects.
- Be able to deliver the Front End portion of projects on time and on budget.
- Evaluate frameworks, technologies and tools and determine their relevance to a particular project or the wider department.
- Work closely with team members from various departments.
- Be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
- Write the majority of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on a project based on prototypes, designs, and functional documentation.
- Work closely with the Front End Architect to understand project needs and learn new development technologies.
- Collaborate with back end engineers to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Identify and raise potential project risks to the team and help to alleviate those risks.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Knowledge of one or more JavaScript frameworks, React preferred. Knowledge of other frameworks such as Angular, Vue, Svelte
- Strong command of web standards, responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with Git
- Experience developing large web sites and web applications.
- Experience building headless architectures
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Nice to have:
- GraphQL
- Sitecore or other enterprise CMS experience
Qualifications
- 5+ years in similar roles
- 3+ years working with React.
- Agency experience
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Experienced in evaluating and implementing front-end technologies, with a focus on React.
- Strong understanding of web development standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and modern web development tools.
- Previous experience in developing large-scale websites and web applications.
