We’re seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to help design and build the next generation of intelligent, highly responsive user experiences at Sirona.
You’ll join our Innovation team, a fast-moving group exploring how advanced AI, agentic workflows, and multimodal systems can unlock new clinical workflows. Your focus will be on creating intuitive, performant, and extensible UIs that bring these AI capabilities to life.
This is a front-end–heavy, full-stack role: you’ll architect core SDKs and reusable components, define contracts with backend and AI services, and prototype next-generation experiences that help radiologists work faster and smarter.
You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and AI researchers to explore what’s possible and help bring the most impactful ideas into production.
Sirona Medical is a remote first company but this role will be required to travel to our San Francisco office on average of 3-4 days every other quarter.

- Design and implement modern, scalable front-end systems in React, TypeScript, and GraphQL
- Build SDKs and reusable component libraries that bridge AI systems and product surfaces
- Prototype intelligent, data-rich workflows that blend human interaction with AI assistance
- Work across the stack to connect frontend features to Python/FastAPI backends and APIs
- Collaborate with AI and backend teams to design clean interfaces between systems
- Create UI patterns that visualize AI reasoning, feedback, and real-time collaboration
- Shape engineering best practices for modularity, observability, and performance
- Mentor other engineers and influence technical direction across Sirona’s product stack
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep front-end expertise and full-stack fluency
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, and GraphQL, with a strong grasp of front-end architecture, state management, and performance optimization
- Experience building and maintaining internal SDKs, reusable component libraries, or system abstractions that connect front-end and backend or AI services
- Fluency with API design and integration, including REST and GraphQL APIs, and working knowledge of backend frameworks such as Python/FastAPI
- Proven experience building or integrating AI-powered product experiences — whether through traditional ML models or newer technologies such as LLMs and agentic workflows
- Experience designing interfaces that make AI outputs actionable, explainable, and trustworthy
- Strong product intuition and UX sensitivity. You build tools that feel elegant, fast, and obvious to users
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with designers, backend engineers, and AI researchers
- Comfortable moving between prototype and production. You can experiment quickly but know how to ship reliable, maintainable code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can clearly articulate technical and product tradeoffs
- Prior experience in healthcare, particularly with DICOM, HL7, or EMR/EHR data

The annual US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits. Pay scale is flexible depending on experience. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, relevant education and training.
